Hi, I'm Erinn.
I believe photographs are one of the few things in life that get more valuable with time. The picture you almost didn't take becomes the one you can't imagine your life without.
The Story
I didn't arrive at portrait photography by accident. After years exploring different avenues of the craft, I found myself drawn to this work because of what it gives people — something lasting. I'm family-oriented at my core, and that's what I bring into every single session: not just photographing families, but becoming part of their story.
One of my earliest memories of why this work matters is simple: photographs on the walls of my grandparents' home. Younger versions of people I loved, frozen in time, growing more precious with every passing year. That's what great portraiture does. And that's what East & Elm is built to create.
The Name
East & Elm carries real meaning. East is a direction of new beginnings — of moving toward light. Elm honors my own initials, and pays tribute to my grandmother, a photo retoucher who hand-colored photographs by trade. The lineage of craft lives in the name itself.
Philosophy
I'm not interested in trends. I'm interested in photographs that still mean something thirty years from now — the kind your kids reach for first, the kind that becomes a piece of who your family is.
