East & Elm portrait studio is built around a full-service experience, not just a 30-minute shoot.

For the family that documents everything but never quite gets in the frame together.

Your family session starts with a design consultation in-studio, where we talk through who's involved, what this season of your family actually looks like, and what you want to feel when you look at these photos in ten years. From there, you'll have access to the Client Closet to plan coordinated (not matchy) outfits, and we'll map out every detail before we ever pick up a camera.

Whether you're local to Fairport, or coming in from Pittsford, Penfield, Brighton,Perinton, Victor, Mendon, Canandaigua,  Henrietta, Webster, Irondequoit, Greece, Gates, Chili, or any Rochester NY, surrounding suburbs, sessions are held at East & Elm portrait studio, a space designed to make even the most camera-shy family member feel comfortable.

The Full-Service Experience

    Wardrobe & Styling

    I will walk you through selecting your own pieces from our curated studio wardrobe and style your whole family to create seamless, polished look for your session.

    Hair & Makeup

    My goal is for every client to feel pampered and beautiful for their session. My hair and makeup artist will take the tie to create a natural, timeless look for your session.

    Design

    After each session, we will meet in person to create custom artwork for your home. From album design to gallery walls, we will choose the best way to showcase your photographs.

    Installation

    Part of serving your family is coming to your home to install the artwork we’ve created together. Whether those are large statement pieces or growing galleries, your carefully hung frames will bring a smile to your face.

  • Every session includes access to the Client Closet during your design consultation, so outfits, coordinating colors, and props are chosen together, in-studio. I do not provide men's clothes. The client closet is a baseline, but clients may need to add some pieces depending on their family. I will help with coordination and guidance on family outfits.

  • Family and branding sessions typically book several weeks out. Newborn sessions are scheduled around your due date, ideally during pregnancy, so a spot can be held for the first two weeks after baby arrives.

  • Most Sessions are held at East & Elm portrait studio, and families travel in from Pittsford, Penfield, Brighton, Perinton, Victor, Mendon, Canandaigua, Henrietta, Webster, Irondequoit, Greece, Gates, Chili, Spencerport, and other Rochester, NY suburbs. Please inquire if you are interested in a session outside of Fairport.

  • You'll return to the studio 1 to 2 weeks later for your reveal and design session, where you'll choose favorites and design your artwork together.
